When Dr. Tabitha Morrison first heard about One of many, she wasn’t convinced.
“I honestly thought it was some kind of cult,” she laughs. “There was Jo, the charismatic leader, the ‘sacred text,’ the conga line… I sat there thinking, what on earth have I signed up for?”
But behind the humor, Tabitha was at a crossroads. A highly experienced sexual health doctor and psychosexual therapist, she had spent years on the frontlines – working in underfunded clinics, supporting survivors of abuse, and carrying the emotional weight of caring for others. By 2020, her confidence had quietly slipped away.
What she didn’t know then was that a single introduction from a friend would change everything.
Finding what she didn’t know she was missing
Tabitha joined One of many in 2020. What she found wasn’t just practical tools, it was a sisterhood of women who “got it.”
“At my first One Woman Conference, I watched other women stand up and own their dreams. I cried. I laughed. And for the first time in years, I thought… maybe I could do that too.”
Amidst the tears and breakthroughs, Tabitha dared to speak her vision aloud: to create a psychosexual clinic that would help people reclaim joy and intimacy in their lives.
“It felt impossible,” she admits. “I was a middle-grade doctor. I didn’t have the funding, the confidence, or a clue how to start. But I had this community, and they believed in me until I could believe in myself.”
Taking back her power
With the support of her peers, Tabitha began to take small, courageous steps. She applied for funding. She worked with mentors. She leaned on the women around her for strength and perspective.
And perhaps most importantly, she stopped giving her power away.
“One day, a friend from the community asked me: ‘Are they taking your power… or are you giving it away?’ That question changed everything. I realised I’d been silencing myself. And I decided I was done with that.”
The clinic that’s changing lives
Fast forward to today, and Tabitha’s clinic is not only real, it’s transforming lives.
One of her clients, who had been unable to have pain-free sex for five years, recently wrote to her:
“I never thought this day would be possible. Thanks to you, I’m pain-free. I’ve been able to enjoy intimacy again, and I’m pregnant. You’ve given me my life back.”
Moments like this are what drive Tabitha’s work and what make her story such a powerful example of what’s possible when women support each other.
A Lead the Change Award Winner
In recognition of her courage, determination, and the extraordinary impact of her work, Tabitha was named the winner of our Lead the Change Awards 2025.
“I came to One of many looking for confidence,” Tabitha says. “What I found was a sisterhood and that’s what made the impossible happen.”
